It's time to get your Estate Plan in order.

I help clients of all income levels develop an estate plan that works best for their individual needs and wishes. Pennsylvania is one of just seven states with an inheritance tax that can be as high as 15%.  With strategic planning, we can potentially greatly reduce your eventual tax burden.

I also assist clients with probate matters.  If you have been named executor in a loved one's will, allow me to help you navigate that process.

Consultations are free, I look forward to meeting with you.

Living Will and Healthcare POA

One of the most important parts of any estate plan is drafting a valid will.  A will is the legal declaration of the intentions you desire to be performed after your death.  Wills are for everybody, not just those with complex assets.  Even if you have a valid will, it may need updated.  Contact my office today to draft a new will or update an existing one.

A living will is a written expression of a your wishes and instructions for health care when it is determined you are not competent and have an end-stage medical condition or are permanently unconscious.  A health care power of attorney is a written designation by yourself naming an individual who will make health care decisions for you when you are unable to do so.  My office can draft these documents for you, contact me today!

Powers of Attorney

Trusts

A power of attorney is one of the most important estate documents to have.  If you were to become incapacitated, a power of attorney allows a loved one or trusted friend to handle your finances and other responsibilities.  Of course, choosing the agent for your power of attorney should be done carefully, and you should only issue this authority to someone you can trust.  My office can help you draft this document and help you decide who is best suited to serve as your agent.

A trust is a right in property, real or personal, held by one party for the benefit of another. The trustee holds the legal title or interest in the trust property while beneficiaries have the beneficial interest in the trust.  When planning for the future, one of the ways that many people choose to pass down their assets in a secure way is through a trust. There are many different kinds of trusts, some of which provide significant tax benefits.  Contact my office today to see if a trust is right for you!

General Estate Planning

Estate Administration

Did you know Pennsylvania is one of only seven states with an inheritance tax?  Your loved ones may be required to pay the government up to 15% of their inheritance.  Luckily, there are ways to greatly reduce the inheritance tax burden your loved ones may face.  Contact my office today and we can discuss strategic estate planning that may save your family thousands of dollars!

Administering the estate of a loved one can be complex and emotionally trying.  As an executor, you are responsible for fulfilling the wishes laid out in your loved one’s estate plan. Additionally, you must carry out the probate process, which can be very complicated.  Allow my office to help you navigate this process with confidence.

LLC Formation

Real Estate Transactions

Limited Liability Companies have quickly become the most popular business entity with both tax and personal liability advantages.  If you are starting a business, allow me to help you set up your LLC today.  LLCs can also be useful when creating an estate plan, especially if you own property outside of Pennsylvania.

It's important when transferring real estate that it is done properly and all parties understand the implications of the transfer.  A strategic transfer can possibly save you thousands in inheritances taxes and possibly qualify you for Medicare benefits if you need to spend time in assisted living.  I would be happy to assist you with a transfer.
